Alumnus of the Week: Daisuke

Daisuke Ishizuka


Daisuke Ishizuka comes from Hokkaido in Japan, and studied at GLI back in 2012. He now lives in Tokyo where he works as a chef called an "Itamae", cooking traditional Japanese food. His goal is to open his own restaurant.



"I remember giving presentations in class at GLI!! It was super super fun!! Don't be stressed! just have fun! Teachers know you can't do perfectly. Just do it!! P.S. Do a lot of preparation!"


"My advice about learning English is watch Sesame Street, write a diary using English. If you get new vocabulary in GLI, please try to use it in a diary. If you are old enough, go to a bar just because. You will see."
